Wildflower Wednesday

On Easter Sunday after our festivities, Richard and I went to check on the cabins.... These flowers, called "Spring Beauty", I think, carpeted the "flat" area at the cabin.....most were more white with pink lines, but there were some in shades of purple and pink....It was so pretty..

Dutchmen's Breeches, I think....there were loads of these in the woods!  I tried to get a good picture of them, but the pictures just don't do them justice...there were some even blooming by the steps to the cabin....and also in the area in front of the old cabin...

The hilly area between the cabins was just loaded with these flowers....don't know if this is just a  good year for them, or if they do this every year....Perhaps we just aren't out there usually at the right time to see them....at any rate, they were just beautiful!

There was also another white flower blooming, but we didn't get a picture of that....Saw one yellow flower as we were driving out and some violets also....
