Last Day of Winter

I took these pictures on the last day of Winter. We have had such a mild Winter! It seems to me that some plants/trees are two weeks or more "early"
Tulip Poplar in our backyard.

In the Spring every leaf is perfect......so fresh and clean

Sweet Gum tree in our front yard.

Peony coming up by our sidewalk.

Lilacs.....I was at church tonight for card class and the big lilac bush up there already has some blooms on it.

Mae Yard

Worms already on the red flowered bush!

Redbud tree

Sugar Maple

Grape Hyacinths

Flowering Almond?

Our forsythia bloomed more this year than it ever has.....they were just loaded......usually there is hardly any blooms on ours.

Welcome Spring, even though Winter wasn't really that bad this year!

Beautiful flowers and trees. Isn't it amazing that we have so much blooming so early? K

Yes, not sure I have ever seen things leafing out/blooming so early....hope things don't get set back by a hard freeze...

Lovely pictures of an early spring - and that's what the calendar says, too. Remember when your dad and Rev. Jim Dace dug up and transplanted the lilac, among many others, from Bailey's place in Dixon who'd given them away. Found that little spoon in the dirt at the base of the lilac.

I always love seeing your nature photos. They should be in the MO Conservation book. :)

Thanks April! I like being outside and taking pix, especially plants because they don't move around! haha

Mom...I do remember them moving those bushes and the spoon that was found with them....I am thinking I may have that spoon here....hmmm idea for another post there!
