I started refinishing the seat of the bay window this week...used the trusty electric sander...It truly did need to be refinished...

after sanding..

I put the second coat on this morning....funny story about the finish I am using...it's a satin polyurethane...I know enough not to shake the can so as to not make tiny bubbles in it.....never occurred to me to stir it..I put the first coat on yesterday and it was like  a gloss finish...I am more of a matte finish kind of person...so I read online and saw where the agents that make the finish matte settle on the bottom of the can...well, duh! You have to stir it! haha!

We went down to the cabin Sunday to pull off the baseboards and finish moving stuff....also measured for the flooring...We were careful with the baseboards and numbered them all so hopefully putting them back won't be too  hard...anyway, this is the progress our neighbor has made on his addition..appears he is putting in a gas fireplace too...

Richard's project yesterday....started getting the garden ready for the season! Can't wait for some fresh vegetables!
