Horse from the Dungeon
This is a horse I had as a child. I really liked all things horse when I was a kid! This was in the soda crate I got out of the dungeon.....but it didn't look quite like this when I found it.
It was in several pieces....
And someone had tried to fix it with masking tape!

Taco Soup
On a chilly day last week I made some taco soup....was so good! and had plenty to freeze to have for lunch in the future!
Sunday Surveying
I rode along Sunday afternoon while Richard put the finishing touches on a surveying job...then we took a different county road home. We saw patches of these daffodils blooming near an old home site...they had naturalized, even across the county road!

Dungeon Days
I carried out this soda crate out of the dungeon the other day.....lots of assorted items!
A box that soap on a rope came in from Avon.....I am connecting this in my mind with Dixie, so am assuming it's something she gave to us....And for you people that don't know what a "Party Line" was.....I guess you can look that up!

Various assorted trinkets.....
Yet another assortment of things......
Pendant watch that was in an envelope...postmarked 1970
What an odd assortment of things....
I bet this was quite a party....was the year of our bicentennial.....
This was actually in a different box....little girl's cat necklace from Avon

Retail Therapy
My two impulses purchases of the day.....no, I didn't need them.....yes, I have plenty of stuff already.......But, I thought they were cute....and were cheap....and on top of that they were on sale!
One of my main missions today....restock my supply of nylon net to make scrubbers with.......found a good selection of colors....thirteen in all. I wanted to find some orange but no luck with that..maybe next time.....
Speedy....our neighbor's cat that thinks it lives at our house had a cat fight late this afternoon on the deck.....I investigated figuring Jack was out there, but it was a cat I hadn't seen before....See it in the tree?
I think it is glaring at Speedy, who never left the deck!

Button Project
This vase belongs to our daughter, but she is letting me borrow it.....I got the idea to fill it with a bunch of buttons.....Will be ok for a while, but it's top heavy so probably not the best of ideas....
I went through one quart jar of buttons and then just dumped the rest in there...this pin was in that quart jar...
There were also two little child's play plates....made of metal and the underneath side is blue....
This is the one jar I went through dumped out onto a tray...some of these appeared to be quite old....
I shouldn't ever have to buy any buttons! Perhaps I will find some neat craft projects to use some of them!

Small Tin Canister Contents
Here is the contents of a small tin I found in the dungeon....more modern stuff here....things that belonged to our daughters all mixed in with other random items.....
I like the wooden bracelets and the ceramic apple alot.....
These items I really liked....they have made their way upstairs to be displayed somehow...maybe.....
Really like the bracelets....especially the one with the little green leaves.....
Wow.....almost seems like there is no end to the random items I find in there.......
I am enjoying investigating it all though!
