County Road

We drove out a couple county roads yeterday.  Have seen this bus in the woods many times...maybe it's used for storage...or a hunting cabin?

Everything is so  green....and the sky was beautiful!

Yard Sale and Pie

My yard sale finds from a while back!   The kids love hte I  Spy books....and  I thought the flamingo lanterns will be fun at the river this Summer.  Not sure what I will do with the garland, but I liked both of them!

The "pie"  that was served to me in a carry-out meal.  haha  

 

More from Mae House

Here are two items I got out of the Mae House  lately.   A painting of poppies in a shabby chic  white frame  Will hang this by the front door in a few weeks.

A paint-by-number I did as a kid....this was upstairs in the Mae House.   

 It is in surprisingly  good shape considering it's age and where it spent the last 15 or so years!

Tea Party

Emily likes to have a tea party sometimes when she is at her house. We very carefully use her Great Great  Grandmother's  tea set. We use lemonade in it and usually have a small snack to go with it. This time we used vanilla cupcake flavored goldfish!

Note that she brought  a special outfit for this actiity! haha

We sure had a good time!

Social Distancing

Covered casserole dish I bought at an antique mall.....will be fun to put out in a few weeks for a spalsh of Spring color!

Artifacts

I found these when i was cleaning out one of our junk drawers...Note pad from the bank...note the 314 area code...long since changed.

Key chain/with key. Probably to a long ago lock at the cabin.the canoe rental was really a going deal for a long time!

Alligators

I stopped by a new antique mall deal in a neighboring town....bought this little set of alligator salt and peppers for  a buck.  Doesn't take much to entertain me!

Randoms

I found this in the ditch by our mailbox....has been out in the elements a very long time...rusted and bent and I have to wonder about when and how it ended up there...and wish I knew the story of that! What a story that might be!

Here is the puzzle I did last week!  It is a new one that I got from Malinda for Christmas.  She knows I like cats!  It was a fun one to do!

Wednesday Randoms

I have been cleaning out a small piece of furniture in our bedroom...which is where I found most of these....think I have enough? Ha!  and I know for a fact there are more in the dungeon, more in my sun-catcher tote and more in my Christmas stuff...I did manage to put a few in a donate box...and the colored ones went to be displayed in the windows for a spot of  color.

I will try these pictures again someday, as I have seen these  windows with super pretty patterns...these are the windows in our garage doors..Jack Frost!

Cards

Before Christmas I picked up theses six packs of cards at a book store that was going out of business....Got a good buy on them and each pack has 2-4 different designs in them.  Looking forward to using them!
