Like  most things that bloom, this year has been a good one for the Columbine..

Pheasant-backed fungi  I found growing on  an elm stump in the Mae yard  probaby  a  foot wide

Saturday Afternoon in the Woods

We took a walk in the Mae Woods and Creek on  Saturday...Sarah's idea.... the kids loved it!  Fun to see them explore so much!   Here is a turtle that was coming out of  its mud bed!

Was a good time to explore down there since there was water flowing in the creek and it wasn't all stagnant.

Wednesday Morning

Seeds for the Tiger lillies...some years I take these and scatter them about!

Perennial Phlox....last couple of years I have cut their seed heads and scattered them about too.  This area is one I scattered two years ago.

Flower Season

Our Spring flowering plants are for sure about done, but I finally got around to cutting us some to enjoy indoors.  They were really pretty this year, season is just too short!

We had such a pretty Fall this year....and it just went on for such a long time!  I really enjoyed it!

Stinkhorn

I saw this stinkhorn in the mae yard this morning....odd thing to see and was surprised to see it..I took this mid-morning..

Later this afternoon here was another one coming up!

 Later this afternoon it was already wilting

Had a definite odor to them, so they earned their name!

That Tree in Fog

Emily

Haven't posted in a while about Emily time.  I had her here yesterday and we sure had  a good time!  We decided to walk around the yard and she wanted to bring her backpack since we were taking a walk.  We stopped to look at the recently planted flowers.

These will fill in and grow big..looking forward to that! Note her sparkly red shoes! They were quite the hit at the grocery store!

She wanted me to take a picture of the Mae House sidewalk....Sure had a good time with her yesterday! Looking forward to more good times this Summer with her and her brothers!

We went down in our field/woods several days ago...Here is the well the feds put in to monitor the water for contamination.

Dry Run

Have been having quite the dry run on the blog.  Have been super busy but just can't seem to come up with any posts.... I found this piece of a Pepsi bottle in a mole hill in the Mae Place.

I rubbed on it with some water and some of the paint came off..

Some Fall color from last week

I took all the screens off a few days ago...something I do every Fall.  The inside of the windows are washed and hopefully the outsides will be washed within a day or two. Saturday morning here was like Spring....The spider had built a web outside of our kitchen window...a perfect web in which it caught a few little bugs.  As the weather person promised, a cold front pushed through and the spider disappeared.  After quite a bit of wind, it's web was half gone..
