We saw an eagle today right by our cabin!

We enjoyed an afternoon  at the river yesterday....Richard took these pictures .  Was  a peaceful and nice place to be....

One time this Summr when we put the boat in the kids there was a stray dog at the cabin...believe it came from some other people upriver....Emily was not a fan! haha

Fuzzy because I was laughing too hard to take the picture   When we drove up the cabin that day it was laying in the sandbox..with a cat!  ha   the cat ran off but the dog stayed around for the day.

Birds

I  always enjoy feeding the birds every year....they have really put on a show this week. The  Goldfinches sure have their Summer colors on and have shown up in flocks.

And  we had some of these visitors this week!  So fun to see them....a few years ago we had a pair nest right in our yard!

We always have lots of Cardinals, and many other assorted birds

Fun to see this one too....just passing through...Rose-breasted Grosbeak

and a woodpecker photo-bombing!haha

Saturday Afternoon in the Woods

We took a walk in the Mae Woods and Creek on  Saturday...Sarah's idea.... the kids loved it!  Fun to see them explore so much!   Here is a turtle that was coming out of  its mud bed!

Was a good time to explore down there since there was water flowing in the creek and it wasn't all stagnant.
