Bridesmaid Gown or Granny's Nightgown?

Haha found these in the cedar chest!  Two bridesmaid dresses from weddings I was in  in the 80's! Ha!  I am thinking they look more like Granny's Nightgown!  Need to disperse of these somehow....the lace on them is pretty.....well....Halloween is coming up!

Vintage and Stuff

More stuff from the cedar chest!  I actually made this dress! Entered it in the fair and won a ribbon..probably because no one else entered! ha!  It's like a size 12 months.  Too bad it has some sort of large stain on the front that really doesn't show in this picture.

These are either my dresses or my  Aunt Dixie's..I really should have ironed them before I took pictures..maybe I will iron them before Emily tries them on..

This is the 'red" velvet dress...I do have pictures of my kids wearing this...and my  Mother wearing it too!!  will have Emily try it on soon.  Believe this came from California

Size 4/4T

Well, not sure what I was thinking saving these dresses....I don't think they are still in style! ha! they are in pristine condition, but not sure what good that will do.  Some were bought at a local store here in town and some were bought at a store called Young Fashions in Jefferson City.  The green one in this picture was from a co-worker..

Have no idea where this came from, but pretty sure it was even before our girls' time..

Wonder if I can get Emily to put these on? Ha!

Butter Churn

I decided to clean out this butter churn that is in the corner of our bedroom...I knew it had some gloves in it, but wasn't aware of what else was in there....Here are some of them...note the pair that says "Only Good Dreams"  

Hat, sock, mittens appear to be handmade....the thick mittens my parents got me years ago....they are so nice..I believe they came from LL Bean or somewhere like that.

the churn

random items also in there....two mis-matched gloves....two pair of cheerleading socks from the late 90's....why do I still have these? Ha!  an old extension cord, etc.

and three random toys....the sheep even had it's Certificate of Authenticity! Ha!  It is from Charlotte's Web.  The other two were from a Shrek movie....they are resting on some gold tissue paper that was in the crock.

Never know what you are going to find around here!

Vintage Stuff

Been in the dungeon again...Doesn't this light fixture just scream 1980's?? Haha yeah, this is the box that our hallway light fixtures came in....so outdated and super hard to clean! Amazing I still have the box! 27 years!

Funny story on this....it was unbuttoned and looked like an apron of some sort..when I tried to figure out how it "worked" I realized/remembered that it was actually a bonnet...

Two of my dolls...the Kewpie doll on the right has a leg that has become disconnected and I should try to get that fixed. They are laying on a little nine patch thing someone made.

Vintage Levis

Here is a vintage Levi's jacket from around 1975...I used to love this jacket! It says on the tag it's a size small. I am thinking their sizing is a bit different now! I can't believe I ever could have worn a small..anyway, a neat deal and who knows what I should do with it now!

A vintage levi's backpack from the same era.........in pristine condition. I really should try to find a home for these things!
