Time at the Farm

We went to the farm Sunday afternoon.. Richard worked in the firewood while I walked around and took a few pictures. I sat on the pond dam for a while and when I left I noticed this muddied little hole....wonder what did that?

Always liked the pretty berries on the cedar trees.

lichen on a stick!

dead tree in the field

pretty little bird nest in a small bush

old board being squeezed by a tree and bent by time

barbed wire sticking out of the bottom of the dead tree.

another dead tree picture

just a pretty weed...couldn't decide which picture to post, so I posted them both!

It sure was a nice day to be outside!

Sunday

We had Tyler for a good part of Sunday afternoon...we had the best time! This is just a few of the activities we did..He brought this puzzle with him.

We played a couple awesome games of Cootie

We did lots of other fun stuff and this is what we played with right before he went home....he sure had fun with these.

Later that afternoon we went to the farm to look for morels....came up empty-handed, but I did take some pictures.. Every leaf is perfect this time of year!

Saw several wildflowers, but I think this is the only one I photographed..

I like the stripes on these!

Must have fallen in the wind the last couple of days...

cute little blob of moss on a rock..
Will have to go back out in a few days and see if we can find some mushrooms!

Fun at the Farm

We were at the farm the other day working on firewood....Richard cut down this dead tree leaning out by the fence....

Here it is heading....

down!

Rusty barbed wire.

Must be ten different strands in this poor tree!

old homestead by the gate...on the far right you can see a little clump of daffodils blooming....have to wonder about the person that planted and enjoyed them....

Wonder why barbed wire is made in England?

Spring is coming to the farm..

The  sun shining through some moss on an old stump..
