Ice Storm Day One

This is how the amaryllis looked yesterday morning..getting pretty close to blooming!

Results of the ice storm....So far it has not been too bad around here..has not live up to the hype, and that is fine with me. They say it's not over yet, so guess we'll see what comes today/tonight.

Record Warmth

Wednesday was a day we set a record for warmth...We had Emily for the day and took advantage of the nice weather by playing outside some! Here she has a Toy Story toy and a stick she picked up in the yard and declared herself "Yoda" haha  she is so funny!

She tried all of the equipment out....most of it twice!

We are so fortunate to be able to spend time with Emily!

Starting to Bloom

The amaryllis is starting to bloom! Will have to track it's progress.

You can see it grew quite a bit taller than the poinsettias!

Random Things

This takes me back a long time....little wooden tea set thing. there is a plate and a bowl w/two apples in it kind of behind the pitcher/mugs....

Not sure what decade this is from...Maybe was sold by a booster club or some group as a fundraiser?

Pet food dish that came with some Barbie stuff. Believe a dime might fit on the inside.

Sunday morning sunrise....This picture just doesn't even come close to how glorious this sunrise was....it was really special!

Friday Fun

Tyler had a snow day from school today so we went out and got the two "big" kids for the day. We had a really good time doing lots of different things. Here is one of the things Tyler sat up to play with while Emily took her nap....He played so nice and is such a good boy.

They made strings out of these colored wooden beads...

 We also played some games and other activities....It was a good day!

Amaryllis

My amaryllis has really grown! The poinsettias still look nice too....I put a soup can there for a size comparison!  Cooler and cloudy here today!

New Year's 2017

A couple pictures of the first sunrise of 2017!

We took a drive this afternoon out in the Hayden/Dry Creek/Cliffty areas.

Neat old building...would love to go walk around it.

Some of these buildings I have photographed before, and some are more rundown than they were the last time I saw them. Would like to go look closer at all of them!

Here is part of our New Year's Eve dinner...It was really good and we had a good time. Always makes me think of the people that have shared this dinner with us in the past.......Miss them!
