Randoms

Last time I went to Jeff I stopped by an antique mall to see if I would see something I would like to spend some of my birthday money on.....I found some crystal deals to either hang in my windows or on
the Christmas tree...I like them and I had money left over for next time!
Front table...Coca-Cola box from Matt and Sarah...two sets of salt/peppers and this neat boat....I think it was from Dixie when she lived in Hawaii..
Sky Thursday morning that looked somewhat promising for some much needed rain...too bad it only sprinkled....Guess this weather can't last forever...

Tyler Time

Early Wednesday morning Tyler and I went outside to play before it got too hot.  We likes getting the wagon out of the garage to play with....we took it over to the Mae yard and he wanted to pick seeds off the
Sugar Maple tree....we got quite an assortment!

Then he started shaking the tree to see if they would just fall off...
Granny is so slow I might as well sit down! haha
When we got back to the house he rang the doorbell. I thought about letting him bring to wagon in to play with.
I picked him a catalpa bean off a tree so he could stir his seeds up with it...
It was a scorching afternoon and here is what it all looked like by the time he went home....
We sure had a good time when he was here...he is always such a good boy!

A County Road and Random Items

We took a drive the other night through a county road East of here....We always called it Paradise Valley, or Peaceful Valley....I think the kids now  call it the Seven Creeks Road...Love these flowers!

One of the seven creeks!  apparently spring-fed since it has water in it!
Redbud seed pods in our yard.
Flowers from church Sunday....aren't they wonderful?  And they still look pretty!
Butterfly on a zinnia right by our garage.
A cicada that has done it's thing..
Part of a raccoon family we saw on the county road....

Bar-B-Que

A couple from church asked Richard to cook up some meat for a family gathering they were having.....This is the rub he uses on his ribs....
I liked their sack they use at their store!
Thirteen yummy slabs of baby back ribs!
15 pounds of grilled chicken breast...yummy stuff!

Tyler Time

The first bunch of pictures is from Friday afternoon when we watched Tyler for a bit....He loves playing in the fallen leaves!  Most of these are off our Tulip Poplar tree....Isn't he a cutie?
Up on the back deck now.....there was a brief cooling wind from the North and we were all enjoying that!
He enjoyed playing with the coil type hose in the front yard......
It might have gotten a little tangled up! haha
What a nice little guy to have around!  He is always so cheerful!
These are from today.....We had a dinosaur herd on the bay window!
The battle of the T Rex!
Had a really good time today with Tyler...lots of quality Granny time!

Card Class and a White Deer

We managed to get a few pictures of the white deer near the river a couple of miles from our house....It sure stuck out in the field!
Terrible picture, but I thought it looked funny when it was running...
We had card class tonight...it was fun....I still have problems getting my words or phrases stamped on straight!
Two more cards and  a little gift bag....
I kept Tyler today while his caregiver was taking a day off....we had such a good day!
