Church Dinner

The kids and I watched Richard cook some this morning for the church dinner honoring our graduates..the main dish was grilled chicken breast.

He also cooks several steaks to slice up and share...

the sun was bothering the kids...especially Tyler!

Too funny!

Richard works hard on these dinners and this one was so good, just like they all are!

Painting

I recently went to one of those painting deals where the artist talks you through a painting....it was great fun! not that my painting turned out that great  but I enjoyed spending time with the people there....the yellow-beige spots will eventually get a couple shades of orange in them...the guy didn't bring us the orange paint and it was time to go. The flowers look like they have measles!Ha!  The best part was visiting with the other people!

Steeple Work

The Catholic Church is getting some work one on their steeple this week....

I don't envy those men working so high in the air!

The Methodist Church had some issues with their steeple, so it has been removed and will be replaced soon.....looks so different without it there!

Tuesday Photo Dump

Yum....pork roasts Richard cooked last weekend for our church's nurture dinner...pulled pork! It was so very good too!

Yikes! A snake skin I found in the "flower bed" in front of the bay window.......This is causing me to rethink how I walk around out there at night!

Church Sale

I enjoyed going to the Holy Hatter basement rummage sale last week. I didn't buy much, but it was lots of fun looking around!  I bought this deal that you put a clear votive candle inside.....it looks here like it only has two sides, but it actually is four-sided. I think it'll be real pretty with the candlelight coming from inside...

This item is really prettier than the picture shows....I think it may have been an ashtray for cigars, but I shall use it for a catch-all dish for coins, etc.  It is made of super heavy glass....

I bought a bag of Valentine's Day decorations....several strands of hearts that light up...and they all work! There were also strands of two different kinds of Valentine's garland...

And a whole assortment of Valentine "ornaments"  What a deal!  Now I may have to have a Valentine's Day Party!

Church Storeroom

We went up to church a day or so after the Fall Supper and Richard straightened up part of the store room.....it looks really good and there is even an open area or two on some shelves....bet it won't stay that way long! ha!

I studied on this old step stool while we were there....made of metal and folds neatly....wonder how old it is and where it came from? Looks like it's been a good one!

Flowers

This sunflower sprouted up in our zinnia bed on the West side of  the house...When the seeds ripened goldfinches enjoyed the seeds..

Flowers we got for the altar at church last Sunday in honor of my Mom's birthday...I thought they did a good job on them and they still look this nice!

Emily's Birthday

We had the best time on Sunday celebrating Emily's First Birthday!  I didn't get many good pictures.....the kids were just moving too fast! Ha!  Here she is getting ready to start on a present..
