Dogwood Trees

These pictures don't even begin to show how lovely the Dogwoods were this year.  They blanketed the hillsides and before the other trees leafed out  it almost looked like snow on the hillsides...Dogwood snow I called it. I was unable to capture how it looked, but it was beautiful!

Snowy Day

Today we got about three inches of snow. It was so pretty. I enjoyed watching it and it's pretty much all melted  already.   Here are some lilacs holding some snow!

and some Redbud Flowers

Wild Sweet William. not as much snow here  as it was under a bunch of tree branches.

a snowy Columbine!

Warm Day

Yesterday was a warm day and we went on a walk.   The  Dogwood  trees have been outstanding this year....you can see the hillsides just white with them. So pretty!

Not sure  what the name of this flower is....I need to look it up. It was short, maybe six inches and the little fuzzy parts at the top were super soft.

Yard Sale and Pie

My yard sale finds from a while back!   The kids love hte I  Spy books....and  I thought the flamingo lanterns will be fun at the river this Summer.  Not sure what I will do with the garland, but I liked both of them!

The "pie"  that was served to me in a carry-out meal.  haha

More from Mae House

Here are two items I got out of the Mae House  lately.   A painting of poppies in a shabby chic  white frame  Will hang this by the front door in a few weeks.

A paint-by-number I did as a kid....this was upstairs in the Mae House.

It is in surprisingly  good shape considering it's age and where it spent the last 15 or so years!
