Sheep Herding

We were going through some kind of like free-range area. We had seen quite a few cattle and the came across this....what appeared to be several hundred sheep being herded from one area to another...see the black sheep? ha! and the sheep dog?

The dog had it under control!

Lots of sheep...

nearly as far as you could see!

This guy was bringing up the rear...it was neat how they kept them all moving!

There was a brown dog "helping" too.

Certainly slowed us down for a while, but it was neat to see!

Silver Thread and More

 We saw Mule Deer several times on our trip.....Fun to see for sure!

This pair had two humans with it that were also dressed the part

Florissant Fossil Beds

We just got back from a nice trip to Colorado....this is not us, haha, just some people getting their picture taken as we drove by!

Sock Monkey was impressed with the fossil stuff

We watched the video that told all about how this happened..

We walked a short trail.....someone had tacked up some kind of skull on a tree..

 I liked the display of the different fossils that had bee found there..fish, tiny bugs,  ferns, leaves...so pretty. The ranger was outside when we did this...he thought it was funny! Stay tuned for more updates from our trip to Southwest Colorado!

Shoes and Other Things

More Stuff

Pumpkin growing on a cattle panel...we sure had a bumper crop of these this year!

I think this is a Monarch caterpillar....we saw this in the garden one day last week when Emily was with us...so pretty

Fungi that had popped up all over a shady area in the mae yard

Tyler

We enjoyed have Tyler for the day last Saturday! We broke in the new picnic table with a fish fry..He got to pick the menu....we had a good day....Malinda came by to visit and they played  a lot of board games and did other fun stuff....In the afternoon he helped us pick a bunch of pumpkins...

He loves his fish! ha!

It was such a fun day! He is such a good kid!

Thursday Things

I bought this at a yard sale from a lady that was downsizing in 2013..for $4....it is about five or six inches high....believe it's called Old Sleepy Eye

A while back Sarah made this out of the kids' handprints....so cute and the sand at the bottom is from the Gasconade River!  I thought it was really cute and a good Summer decoration!

Emily

We like our Emily days....days when we go get her and spend time with her.....She brought her tricycle with her one day....

Love her curls!

She is such a sweet girl!

One day she had fun splashing through the rain puddle....great fun!

She helped us pick some pumpkins!

Richard teases her calling her "little ham"  so we had to take her picture with a little ham! She thought it was funny!

We sure enjoy the extra time we get to spend with her!
