Making Our Way South

A few more pictures from our trip....the first morning...Breakfast of Champions! from a quick shop in Houston, Missouri...
We stopped here in Arkansas
Only a small part of a huge railyard...where they load stuff onto trains...looked neat!
Yellow dirt in Mississippi
Huge roadside cross
We saw a few really cute billboards for Chick-fil-a....all were different and really neat...
Big tower shaped and painted to look like a peach...
Thought it was odd to see an Ozark anything where we went through...oddest thing was the area reminded me of the Lake/Branson areas...it was strange!
Florida!
Will put another round of pictures on soon!

Sock Monkey's Grand Adventure

Will be returning home soon from a trip to visit this beautiful lady! We had such a great time! So did monkey!
These pictures were all taken in the city where she lives....monkey found some new friends!
This is a bench that is along a trail several miles long that happens to run through the town...
Monkey is behaving in this picture!
Here he is "hanging out" haha!
In the danger zone!
lemon tree across the street from my Mom's
Found another new friend!
Waiting patiently for the trash truck...
Pretty sure the "cart guy" at Winn Dixie thought I was crazy! Ha!
We stopped here to get little round mirrors to put on the car.
Grapefruit tree across the street from my Mom's
We filled up the day before we left!
Banana tree also across the street...I thought I got a picture of monkey with this..because everyone knows how much monkeys like bananas! I will have to look on my camera for it.
Had a great time visiting with my Mom.....more posts to come later!  And Happy Birthday today to my Aunt Dixie! Hope you have a great day!

Mae Place Finds

Two finds from the Mae Place..on the left...Richard found that in the garden...may be an old fuse?  The little thing on the right I found at the base of a really old Maple tree towards the back of the house.....It appears to be a little china? lid for a child's tea set or something....it's about the size of a quarter!

Cabin Tile Project

Ceramic tile and various supplies for the cabin floor...Richard had already carried all the cement board up to the cabin before I took this picture....Sure will be glad when this is done and we can start getting back to normal down there...
We went down late the other  evening and they had all the cement board down....
Will be adding pictures when it gets done!

Spiders

I took this picture last week of those spiders in the pampas grass...the first load of laundry I carried out they were all scattered out among the web....when I brought the second load out, I noticed they had all gathered up....I think they look like they are in the shape of a seahorse!

Random Pictures

Molly photobombing my attempt to photograph a bloom on the tulip tree!
dozen roses we bought for church on Mother's Day..six for Sarah, six for Mozelle.
Friendly fellow on the front deck today...actually he looks like he is a bit tired of me taking pictures!
The Columbine did quite well this year!
Huge bush we have out by the road...there were a few hummingbird moths enjoying this, but they were way too fast for me to get a picture! It's also a favorite of the bees..
From a bush in the Mae Yard...
Sure was nice to get some rain this evening and some cooler temps!

Friday Afternoon

We had a nice visit with the kids after school/work on Friday...Malinda had brought me some chocolate covered strawberries for Mother's Day (thanks, Malinda!)  After removing the chocolate, Emily enjoyed one too!
What a sweet girl!
Tyler is getting so tall! He had lots of fun with Gpa while us girls visited inside!

Saturday Morning

We had a little visitor on our front deck this morning!
I took several pictures and he she? was very cooperative!
Saw this on my way to let Molly out..
Our iris did very good this year....many blooms of many different colors..
I saw this clump of stuff in the pampas grass on the North side of the house....at first I thought it was a clump of  eggs from some sort of insect...
But as I got closer to it, I realized they were starting to move.....it was a big clump of baby spiders!
Leaves on a hickory tree....saw several of these with some sort of leaf rolling insect deal in them.
Was sure a pleasant morning to get outside and do just about anything!
