Paint Update

Went down and checked on my paint cooking project last night...wow...pretty slow progress...took a stick and stirred them....realized this is going to take some time...I sure hope they are dried out by the time the snow flies!

Paint From The Past

Another product of the dungeon.....paint leftover from when we built the house......in 1988!! It was a little easier to decide what to do with these...and this was only part of them......as you can see from the lids the custom colors are dated 7-21-88. Twenty two years old paint...yeah, bet that stuff was real good.......two of them had dried out on their own.....a few others were almost dried and then there were six that needed further "treatment".....I needed to dry them out so I could throw them away. This involved prying the lids off and letting them dry in the summer sun. Only problem was everytime it rained they would get "reconstituted"......so I took two big lids off of old weber charcoal grills and covered them up. Now they are outside "cooking"..Hopefully they will be dried out one of these days! I was glad to clean out a (very) small area of the dungeon!

Animals On Parade!

This is about a tenth of the stuffed animals in the dungeon....As you can imagine, the dungeon is not a good place to store something like stuffed animals! sooooo on a nice hot dry day I brought two boxes of them up to air them out..........I had alot of fun hanging some of them on the clothesline...Actually, they look kind of creepy hanging on the line like that!! And those trolls, what was I thinking??Gee, do you think we had enough stuffed animals?? Remember, this is only a fraction of the ones down there. But our kids really did enjoy them and got alot of use out of them....Now what to do with them is the question!

The Dungeon

From time to time I will be writing about a place I call the dungeon. I call it that because except for the door, it's a totally concrete room...say about 28 by 30 feet......and it is piled full of all sorts of things. At one time, it was piled and stacked so full that a person literally could only step into the room three feet...since then it is somewhat better, but there is still alot of room for improvement.

A Suprise Violet

Last year my Pastor friend, gave me some potted violets. I was so surprised yesterday to see that they had sprouted and bloomed. I didn't know they would bloom in late July!
Such a sweet surprise!!

Welcome...

...to my blog!!

I will be posting about various things that cross my path. Some may seem a little strange...some may even be bizarre..but hopefully you enjoy the randomness that happens in my life.
