We went out for a boat ride Saturday morning...was a really nice morning. The last time we were out there a farmer was pushing sand off his field over the river bank...he made a few of these piles....This one is one of the biggest ones...
We got this toddler swing out of a brush pile...the rope is all tangled with debris...It may be broken, haven't untangled it yet to see...Sock Monkey was very impressed!
Log stuck in a tree...looks like this tree took a real beating in the flood...

Just some random pictures I took early this morning when I was walking around outside..First off is a bloom of a volunteer plant...sprouted up by our birdbath...I think it is some sort of gourd...
By early afternoon this is what it looked like!
Our Fall display!
Bought this swag-type thing at the local "pumpkin patch"
Old brick that was laying by the Mae porch...

On Wednesday....Tyler loving his little sister..
A couple of sweet kids, that's for sure...
Thursday afternoon Tyler and Richard came across this turtle eating the ripe persimmons that had fallen....he had a good time looking at the turtle...

We went to the river a few days ago...while we were out there we climbed up to the cave...Hard to believe, but the flood was in here also...those big rocks by Richard had "flood mud" on them...and you could see on the cave walls where the water had been..
Pretty fern growing just outside the cave.
weathered wood at our dock..
We saw lots of debris up really high! This was below Terry Chutes...

I wish I had taken a "before" picture of this wreath...it was very tired with all it's decorations very faded so I revived it with some flowers/leaves I had leftover from Sarah's wedding. I thought it turned out ok!
Never know what you are going to find hanging around on the Mae Porch. Yes, it's a scary place!
I found this vintage chenille baby blanket when I was mining in the dungeon the other day....washed it up and it's in pretty nice shape considering how old it probably is....nice and lightweight and a good size for Miss Emily!
Was looking for something to take pictures of the other day and came across these wild grapes growing on the freezer shed....such interesting vines...neat contrasts between the vines, leaves and the fruit...
It would take a lot of these to make something....lots of seeds in the fruit..

I have been rounding up a few of the clothes I still have from when our girls were little....not sure if Emily will be able to use any of them or not...our girls were Spring babies, while Emily was born in August....at any rate it was fun to look at them again...this first little dress was a shower gift....it also has little yellow bottoms to go with it...wonder what the odds are on me finding those are? yeah, probably not very good! Haha!
Pretty sure this is the outfit Malinda wore home from the hospital...
And this is the one Sarah wore home....
Not baby clothes, but something I came across...unsure of where it came from....it is larger, probably size seven or so? Mom or Dixie...any idea where this is from??
Always liked this little outfit!
More pink and lace....and a bonnet to match...
Lavender outfit...another favorite.
Remember this one well too....probably never used the bonnet though...

Happy little boy!
Took this picture after his haircut on Wednesday...Such a sweetheart!
Some kind of insect on a zinnia...check out that stinger! That would hurt!
This lawn chair was in the cabin during the flood....we noticed these water lines on
several items...guess it shows the different levels the water was as the river either
rose or fell....I thought it was interesting...
