Latest "Project"

Here is my latest project from the dungeon.....assorted My Little Ponies....Their manes/tails are a mess! These are the tiny ones..maybe an inch high.....
These are the standard sized ones...They are also a mess! I have to say our girls did have a lot of toys, but they really did play with them....
Huge pile of combs/brushes...some of these may have come with other toys, but most are My Little Pony ones.....
Trying to show here how dirty some of them were....and what a mess their manes/tails are in...Once again, sure wish I would have at least wiped them down before I stored them! Or better yet, made the girls clean them up! Ha!
Here are the bigger ones after their first bath..drying in the hot sun. I also discovered four cats...Don't know if they were called My Little Kittens or what? anyway, next step is to do a treatment on their manes and tails....Got some ideas from Pinterest on how to do that! We'll see how it goes!

What a Color!

What a color this bug is! So pretty! We found it down at the river a week ago, it was dead, but sure is pretty!

Weather

It was so cool today for July....we had a lot of rain today also...late this afternoon a warmer super humid batch of air moved in...this is what happened to many surfaces in the house...all the mirrors fogged up...
Pretty much any glass surface did this.....
The appliances and the floor were all wet....so were lots of other surfaces....Luckily, after a couple hours it had pretty much dried up. I have never seen this happen in our house on that large of a scale...it was weird!

Wildflower Wednesday

Horsemint...growing in our front yard..
I tried to find the name for this one, but could not find it....it is  a short plant, maybe a foot high...
I should have looked this one up...

Little Green Visitor

Richard spotted this little guy in our lilac bush on Sunday...I am not a huge fan of snakes....ok, I despise them....But....This little guy is such a pretty color, and from what I have read these snakes are really docile, so I don't mind having it in my yard...as long as it stays away from me! Ha!

BBQ, Budding Artists and Sock Monkey sees some Muddy Water

While I was in the parking lot of our local grocery store, this truck pulled in to make a delivery. I wish I would have gotten a better picture of these signs...Looks like the pigs are playing guitars in the one picture...
Oh wow....and this one is smoking a cigar and drinking wine! Ha!  The man driving this rig looked like a nice  man, he was older and looked like it was kind of hard for him to get around.
Sarah and the kids were at the house the other day and Emily drew what appears to be a face on our wall....Guess we should not have laughed about it..but it was funny...
Since we thought Emily's was so funny, next thing we knew Tyler had copied it on the wall where he was...haha...Hers was about six inches across and his about one inch....
Taken July 5, No fun on the water this Fourth of July! It had actually gone down a couple feet from what it was yesterday..
Sock Monkey was amazed by all the brown water!
It was a good weekend...Different from the usual Fourth of July, but that's ok too.

Lake of the Ozarks

Having had so much rain in our area, they have opened all 12 flood gates at the lake...We went over Thursday night to check it out....This is from a lookout and you can see some of the traffic and people walking out onto the dam to look at it.
Not sure when the last time was that all the gates were opened....it was pretty neat! Loud too!
Lots of fish jumping up out of the water....
Lots of fishing lures that over time have gotten hung up on this barrier cable deal....
Every kind of lure you can think of!
Pigeons roosting in the holes of the concrete retaining wall....they were also lined up on other various surfaces.
This was pretty neat...glad we made the trip over there. I remember seeing most, or all of the gates open once when I was a kid, but Richard hadn't seen it before.
Lots of people  came to look....this was a constant in/out of different people...they had three people directing the parking.  We had a nice evening....A pretty drive over there and back also.
