County Roads

We did a bit of county road driving this week...love old barns.....this one was Willard Hollis's

Venus Park...set up real neat....

Windmill in the bottom...hard to beat a nice windmill either.

Well the barn isn't crooked, my camera was!

So many naturalized daffodils...a whole hillside. the picture doesn't do it justice.

Flower Pictures from Last Week

The name of this wildflower is Spring Beauty I think..blooming down at the cabin.

Richard stopped on our way out of the cabin to get a branch out of the road and saw this pretty wildflower..

Bush I call Baby's Breath....in our yard  we moved a start of this from my homeplace and it has spread quite a bit.

Little Maries Bridge

Sunday evening we went out to look at the progress on the building of the new bridge West of town...

While we were there a truck towing a lake boat came from the West....guess he forgot the highway was closed?  anyway he had to turn around and get on the detour. The closing of this road has added travel time to many people's days.

It was a nice little outing and was fun to see how it was coming along!

County Roads

Late Saturday afternoon we went over to the East side of the county to do some driving on county roads...don't think they was people in here!

This was right next to it...would like to go look around up there!

Water looks so mossy/stagnant is most of the creeks.....don't think it's usually like that in March.

We went through Belle and ended up at Summerfield...we took the county road back to Paydown. You could see in Belle and Summerfield where they have taken up the railroad tracks in preparation for that trail.

Foggy Morning

About a week ago, we had  a really foggy morning...I went out early and took a few pictures...here is That Tree, taken from the garden.

We have had a lot of Cardinals this year...This one was singing away up in some brushy trees over by the dog pen.

It was such a neat morning...I wish now that I would have walked on down into the woods....maybe next time!
