Little Maries Bridge

New bridge over the Little Maries....people who live/work past this will be glad when it's done!

Pretty creek on a pretty day...we actually were here on Easter Sunday. This is looking upstream.

Been lots of action down on the gravel bar!

Looking downstream.

Water was clear and we could see minnows, etc

and could hear the water going over the rocks, very pretty sound!

Really big tree right before the bridge!

This is up past Brinktown....

Someone worked very hard building cages full of rocks to stop/slow the erosion. It appears to be working!

Bridge has seen better days!

Neat little structure! Would loved to have taken a peek inside!
We enjoyed our outing late in the day on Easter....everything is so pretty this time of year!

Watch Out!

ha! cop watching the kids as the go down the back road to school.....Kind of funny because when the cop decides to sit and watch them he always comes just after 8 in the morning....if he showed up a bit earlier it might slow down some of the people going to work...when they go by way over the 30 then 45  mph speed limit...as it is he always misses them!

Viola

Before our Florida trip, Richard had taken a gallon of wild mushrooms to our friend, Viola. She is an older lady and we like to bring her things like that, garden produce, etc.  and look what she brought us! a pan of home made cinnamon rolls! and they were still a bit warm!

and a wonderful apple pie she had made! it was still hot!
Pretty sure we got the better end of that deal!

Heading Home

I took these pictures on our way home.....Ozark, Alabama....having a crawdad and music festival! i bet it was a good time!

oh my.....we only went that fast for a few seconds.....he caught me trying to take a pic of the speedometer and gave me something to take a picture of....but honestly, sometimes I wonder why we even have speed limits....people don't seem to follow them!

West Plains, Mo   a huge yard of hardwood flooring...maintained by/for Armstrong Flooring...there was a whole lot of wood here!
