Johnny W's Things-Part Three

Neat old Christmas stickers that were on the back of card envelopes.

Cool fashions!

Apparently he didn't like this...wrote "don't feed it" on the cover of

this little pamphlet!

This was a long time ago!

Apparently, they printed this out for all to see..and it's in pristine condition for

being 100 years old....I didn't show the names on purpose, since many

decendants live in the area...

This looks like 1861, but that can't be right can it?

Off an invoice from 1922

There was a manila envelope full of cancelled stamps..lots of them were

five and six cent stamps...

Ok, going to try to wrap this up with Part Four..so...stayed tuned!

In with the other stuff was this little box...good thing the signature was

on the box or it wouldn't have been genuine!

people to use zip codes..  crazy looking postman there! haha!

Johnny W's Things-Part One

I have been in the dungeon again....this time I brought out a box of things

we acquired from the neighbor that lived across the road from us when I

was a child...

It is a rather small box, but had some interesting things in it...label off

of a lye container..

This paper had a full page ad on the back like this map here...looking for

new men to join the priesthood....

Lots of things from the twenties and thirties...well, every decade really.

I think old seed packets are really neat!

I am not sure I knew that this school ever existed.

I bet this was a fun time!

And this too!

Maries County Bank ad....not sure why it is upside down!

For men only! From the twenties..

This hair net package is pretty cool....made in France...and a check

signed by George McMinn...

I think the steam engine deal at Boonville still goes on....should try to find

that out!  Neat Sherwin-Williams envelope too....

Now the street guide is free...and not just for men! This one was from

the forties..

Trip to the City X 2

We went to Jeff yesterday and today....Our first stop on Wednesday was:

We went to a benefits meeting to learn about the insurance program...

Then we had lunch here:

Went to the Grand Opening of a new store:

Then headed North!

We got to Columbia at noon.........

We were going to this store to get items for our church's fall supper..

And army of PAM in the shopping cart...

We also used our own card and picked up a couple things...like this

impulse buy!

The old Renz prison farm....abandoned since the flood of '93...I would

like to go walk around in there!

Then we stopped at church to deliver our purchases...people had

already brought a bunch of stuff in..

And the Holy Hatters had wrapped up all the tableware....

Went here to pick up our truck, which was getting serviced...

When we got home I took a picture of the neat pin they were

giving out at the benefits meeting....

These were taken Thursday...went to Jeff again, this time for a health fair

at Richard's work....the highway people were working today..

After the health fair, I went to the Runge Center while Richard went to the

shooting range with a co-worker....This is a really neat place....Someday if

his parents let us, we would like to take Tyler here...I think he would  like

it a lot...

I love someone's sense of humor! I told Richard we could do this in our yard, only use Santa's reindeer......we have enough deer stands to hold all of them  hahahaha!
