Dungeon Days

I went through one ice cream bucket from the dungeon this morning...
who knew one little plastic bucket could hold so much stuff...random
stuff......
Here it is spread out into a box like an I Spy picture!
I sorted a few things out...a few pins...two clock hands...
A couple cool skeleton keys..and the political thing from Nebraska..
Assorted pins...and etc....
Too bad all the jewels are off this little box...
I opened it up and it's for coins...
More random items...pins, earrings...a crucifix with a magnet on the
bottom....I am thinking back in the day when car dashes were metal
people would put these on their dashes...?
More STUFF......the little puppy pin is made of wood and marked "Japan"
on the back....I remember having it as a child...then there is a few jacks..
sure had fun with jacks when I was a kid...the owl pin has seen better days!
haha! well, probably a lot of this stuff has seen better days!
Getting even more random....there is a pink bracelet there that is cute.
One broken necklace and one unbroken one...two keys and a black
plastic anchor!
See the cool peace sign ring made out of leather? That is vintage early
70's.....Wasn't I cool? haha!
Most of this appears to be made out of some sort of seeds...rather
interesting....looks like a lot of work to make this...
The indian necklace was mine also..I always liked it..
The one on the left appears to be broken..I can't even tell what it is!
Here is the rest of the box...assorted this and that..marbles..buttons..
more earrings...will finish sorting this another time...
I had put this aside as I was going through the box......this is really tiny
and I couldn't really see what was going on with it...was backwards in
it's little container...will get a magnifying glass and investigate further.
Not sure where some of this came from....A few items were mine from long ago....and surely some was either my Mom's or Juanita's...there were a few items in there from when our kids were little, so I am thinking this was one of the "junk buckets" of the dungeon, where when I was sorting things I grouped "like" things together..?

Another Twenty-Four Hours

Wednesday morning I headed off to Jeff City to meet up with Richard
for a meeting...first thing, of course, was having to stop for the road work.
Sure will be glad when the election is over!
Neat barn through the trees..
Still sitting in traffic....I feel bad for the people that have to deal with
this everyday to go to work/school....
First stop...Wal-Mart!

Not sure where my picture of Wal-Mart went?  anyway, this is going to sound silly, but I always try to park in the Central Bank row....so I don't lose my car! Hahaha!
Bought some clothes for Tyler here as a Halloween gift.
I went here to pick up Richard, he had rode to work with a co-worker, so
we rode home together.
Where we had lunch..
We had some extra time after lunch, so we took a drive...this is the construction site of the new St. Mary's Hospital.
There were a few of these streets to nowhere....ready for future expansion.
Part of the land bought by the public school system to possibly
build a new high school on someday.
Glad I didn't have to go here that day!
Women's and Children's wing on JCMG being constructed...not open yet.
New wing on JCMG opened a while back..
We stopped here and got Tyler a Carhartt shirt.
A classmate of Richard's was working in here...he is retired and just works
here to keep busy...I didn't recognize him, but Richard did...
The destination for our meeting....yes, life is going to change!
St. Mary's Hospital.....
A different kind of political ad..
Rather well-known in this area....
The Coca-Cola sign sort of acts like a community sign board.
Reminds me of Kansas and Nebraska  :)
Even before I left town I saw a MODOT truck with a snow blade on...
thought that was strange and I saw several all day....just missed
getting the blade in this picture....I found out later it was like "practice day"
or something like that...checking out their equipment, etc.
Had to stop in traffic again on the way home....
Sun through the leaves while waiting in traffic..
Clothes we got for Tyler for Halloween...figured he would be
getting enough candy!
Cute little lumber jack!
Hahaha looks like he was tired of me taking pictures!
Half of a caramel apple Richard bought for me at Russell Stover
when he traveled North on Monday...this was my dinner Wednesday night.
Thursday morning I went to a yard sale and found some little items
for Tyler..
That was a lot of pictures!

Our Town

Here is another edition of "Our Town"......Let's see if you can figure
out where I am!  First off, we have some brick!
And a broken off light to shine on the flag pole...so yes, this place
has a flag!
And a shiny red bell!
In addition to the brick, it also has metal siding..
And a drop box.......
This pretty much gives it away!
Yes, it is our nice fire house!  We have, in my opinion, a top notch
fire department for a town our size! A lot of people have worked
very hard to make it what it is.
