Friday Surprises

We went to the cabin this morning to check on things since we had some high winds yesterday....Our first surprise was our neighbor down there was adding on to his place....adding a room that is elevated higher, hopefully out of the reach of floodwaters...
Our second surprise was not so pleasant...apparently someone had gotten stuck down there....actually you can see where they about went over the river bank...then apparently got a tractor to come pull them out..This is what we called the "flat" a nice, grassy area . It was anyway.
The view from the deck. Hopefully when it dries up, whoever did this will come back and fix it. Hey, a girl can hope, right?
Looking down river..will hope for no more big floods this year....and no scorching droughts, so we can have campfires and cook outs.....

That is insane!! And, like you said, you really have to see it, looks worse than when you described it!

Wonder how you would even fix it?!

Ohhhh, that makes me soooo mad! Where is the respect for people's property?

It sure wasn't what we wanted to see when we got down there....Sarah-would be quite a project to fix this...and yes, it is worse than I described and believe it or not, the pictures truly don't give it justice. Karen-I would have thought whoever did this could have at least called and warned us...which perhaps means they have no plans on fixing it. :(

I wouldn't count on anyone fixing it :( .. unfortunately.

If you think of a a way to fix it, let me know and Ron or Matt could help - or know someone with equipment to borrow.

I know envy is a sin, but I SO envy you your cabin at the river and your river view. Enjoy!

okcamp...I know we don't get the snow you do...but we've had more than we usually get this year...and cold temps, so believe I will have to decline! haha!
